Officers of the Hannibal Police Department responded to a report of a fight in progress in the 1700 block of Chestnut at 5:03 p.m. Saturday. Officers arriving on the scene located two men in fighting stances, both with obvious injuries associated with a physical altercation. Then men identified as Joshua A. McAtee, 22 of Hannibal and James D. Jones, 19, of Hannibal were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Hannibal Police Department. McAtee and Jones were later released after posting bond for Peace Disturbance (misdemeanor). Both men are scheduled to appear in Municipal Court on May 18th before Judge Fredrich Cruse.
